If you are considering racing please contact us so we can advise you on the suitability of your intended boat. The Committee takes independent advice when hull and power combinations appear mismatched as racing is not allowed in overpowered boats.

To make sure your boat is safe it will need to pass basic scrutineering.
To pass a basic theory test.
To pass a basic practical test on the water.
To have racing life jackets. We do have some you can borrow.
To have orange helmets.
And finally a navigator.
Either an event licence at £70 per event (Medical required after 2 event licences).
Or a full licence at £256 for the season, Medical required.
Medical if you would like a full licence or more than 2 event licences. Around £90.
Race entry £60 driver and £60 navigator.
Orange flag.
Fuel and battery cut off.
Oars.
Anchor and chain with rope.
Mooring ropes.
Kill switches for driver and nav.
Flares.
Rope on bow eye. Less than length of boat!
Navigation lights.
Compass.
Overalls or long sleeve and long leg garments.
Race spec life jackets.
Knife in protective sleeve.
Basic first aid kit.
Orange helmets.
Race numbers on side and front of boat. (Specific size).
